Three-needle high-speed top and bottom coverstitch machine with a cylindrical bed (diameter 280 mm) for hemming, pneumatic thread trimming and foot lift.

The NR series is the latest development from Kansai Special. The new design of the body and sleeve of the machine and the built-in system to prevent oil stains on the fabric make the machine very attractive for manufacturers of high-quality knitwear and other types of fabrics. The time-tested design features of the machines of the previous series have been retained, as well as new innovative technical solutions have been added that allow making high-quality seams without the intervention of a mechanic.

3-needle high-speed automatic coverstitch machine with top and bottom cover and a cylindrical platform is used for processing knitwear, medium and light fabrics. It is mainly used for hemming the bottom of the product and hemming the bottom of the sleeve of the product. A hemming device is included with the machine.

Equipped with automatic presser foot lift and pneumatic thread trimming.

The cylindrical platform of small diameter (280 mm) greatly facilitates the processing of complex knots and products closed in a ring with a flat seam.

JUKI DDL-8700 FAQs

What kind of needles do you use in the DDL-8700?

The needles with your JUKI are the Organ DBx1, available on our website. This machine uses size 16×257, size 8 through 20 or 16×97. The 8700 can also use standard needles, sizes 9 through 21, universal or fabric-specific needles such as knit.

Where does the machine oil go?

A pan directly underneath the machine supplies oil to the machine with a cotton wick. Lift the machine up and over to access the oil tank while on the table. You must keep the machine’s oil level consistently at the «high» mark, either by adding more oil or draining it and refilling it as needed. If the oil pump can’t get the oil into the machine, it can cause serious problems later.

What kind of oil does this machine require?

You need a specific type, like motor oil in your car, to keep this machine running. The DDL-8700 requires JUKI New Defrix Oil No.1, equivalent to ISO VG7.

What size table can I get with this machine?

Our table has legs and is 22"w x 47"l. It includes a knee and foot pedals and a left-hand drawer for accessories.

Does the DDL 8700 make buttonholes?

No. The 8700 only does straight stitching, with a horizontal bar on the right side for a reverse stitch.
