Kids Craft Series: Glove Monster or Friend

When spring starts to roll in, gloves become the new “socks” in the poor unmatched laundry remnants. You can make a whole host of tiny monsters with these gloves to scare away the rainy days. They’re an absolute smash with kids, and they're so easy to make.

With a basic sewing kit, you can even enlist your kids' help. It's a great way to help them build their sewing skills!

What You’ll Need:

  • Winter Gloves
  • Batting
  • Buttons
  • Felt
  • And any other embellishments as you see fit!

How to Do It?

  • Turn the gloves and sew across from the top of the thumb opening through to the other side, leaving only a small 1-inch hole with the cuff tucked inward. This step is easy with a sewing machine, even for kids. It will take only seconds, but you can hand-stitch this also!
  • Then, turn your glove, stuff, and hand-stitch shut.
  • Now you can cut out teeth, noses, and eyes from the felt and stitch them right onto the monster! There's no such thing as an ugly monster, so encourage using fabric pens, glitter glue, or even buttons.

Once you're done, throw a Monster ball and let everyone party with the coolest monsters around!
