A: This machine uses size LWX6T. Size 3 (11) is the recommended needle size to use with cottons, silk, acetates, dacron, and similar type of light weight fabrics (**size 3 (11) is what comes factory set with your machine). Size 3 1/2 (14) is the recommended needle size to use with medium weight materials like woolens. Size 4 (16) is the recommended needle size to use with thick materials for coats and house furnishings.
